Sparkle

Good evening all

Today's card is made using a digital stamp called Snow Queen Sassy from Sassy Studio Designs.  I have coloured her using ProMarkers and added Glamour Dust.

From my computer, I have printed the sentiment "You Make My Life Sparkle" onto white card stock.  Next, I have coloured the card using the Tim Holtz Mowed Lawn Distress Ink pad and mounted it onto black card.

I have wrapped red organza ribbon around the bottom of the background before mounted it onto a white A5 card blank.

I have tried a bow from the same organza ribbon, glued this into the centre and added a sparkle button.

The digital stamp has been cut out and placed into the centre of the background using Pinflair glue to add dimension.

To finish, I have added three red flat back gemstones into the left hand corner and tiny red gemstones to the sentiment.

Orange Meadow

Good evening all

With the clocks going back an hour this weekend, I was looking forward to an extra hour in bed.  That didn't happen, I was awake at 6.30 this morning, so due to the fact I'm back at work tomorrow, an early night is in order.

The card I have made today is for my regular customer.  She has a friend who will be 76 years young.  I have gone with an orange theme with this one.

I have started with a square piece of white card stock and embossed it using the Die'sire Embossalicious Ornate Butterflies embossing folder.  Next, I have added soft colour using the Tim Holtz Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink pad and mounted onto black card leaving a small border around the edge.

Onto white card, I have stamped the Crafty Individuals Summer Meadow rubber stamp with Memento Tuxedo Black and added a dark colour using the stamp Distress Ink as the background.  This has then been cut into panels and mounted onto black card.

Using my Cameo Silhouette, I have cut out "Happy 76th Grace" from black card and placed along the bottom of the background.  I have also added a butterfly cut from white card using the Memory Box Pippi Butterfly die, this has been coloured with the same ink pad.  The centre of the butterfly has been cut from black card.

To finish, I have added three black flat back pearls into the top corner of the first panel.

Skating

Good evening all

I have been given a new project today as my boss decided I needed a target to aim towards.  Our Health and Beauty section is in a very bad state (it always has been), so it is now my department.  One good thing is that just as we are coming into winter, I have been moved to the warmest area in the store.  No thermals for me this year.

The card I'm posting today is one I started at my craft club last week (only just not the time to finish it).  I have used a Saturated Canary digital stamp which has been coloured using ProMarkers and the theme is snowflakes and ice skates.

I have started by cutting out a blank card base from white card using my Cameo Silhouette and a cutting file for the Silhouette store.

Next, I have stamped the Honey Doo Crafts Christmas Wishes stamp with Perfect Medium, onto white card and heat embossed using the Wow Bright White embossing powder.  I have then added colour to the card using the Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Distress Ink pad.

The panel on the left of the card has been embossed using a lattice embossing folder and again, coloured with the same ink pad.

The digital stamp has been cut out and placed onto the background using Pinflair glue to give dimension and I have added Twinklets Diamond Dust to the pom poms on her gloves and leg warmers.

The snowflake has been made by cut out two snowflake shapes using the Heartfelt Creations Arianna Lace die set.  These have been inked with the same ink pad, layered together and a red gemstone brad has been added to the centre.  To give it some sparkle, I have randomly placed Diamond Dust.

The ice skates have been cut out again, using my Cameo Silhouette.  I have then threaded blue twine to make the laces and to give a more realistic look, I have used silver mirror card for the blades.

To finish, I have added a red gemstone brad to the top right hand corner of the background with a snowflake charm attached.

Butterfly Sympathy

Good evening all

My card today is an order from a colleague at work.  It is a Sympathy card for her friend who has lost a son. I have gone for clean and simple in blue and white.

I have taken a square piece of white card stock and embossed it using the Die'sire Embossalicious Regency Swirl embossing folder from Crafters Companion.  This has then been mounted onto blue card stock leaving a small border around the edge.

From my computer, I have printed the sentiment "With Sympathy Vicky", onto a panel of white card and again, mounted it onto white card.  Next, I have wrapped a piece of blue satin ribbon around the panel and layered it down the centre of the card.

Using the Memory Box Pippi Butterfly die, I have cut out three from silver mirror card and three from blue card and layered together.  These have been placed down the centre of the white panel.

To finish, I have added a bow made from the same blue satin ribbon and a gemstone button in the centre.

A Very Pinky Thank You

Good evening all

The last couple of days at work have been a bit stressful.  We are two weeks into the new structure and things seem to be falling apart.  I have been given the job of coaching all the new Section Leaders, but unfortunately, they seem to think that they know everything and will not listen to anything I have to say.  I find it very frustrating to see each department failing and being able to do anything about it.

Anyway, to help me relax tonight, I have made a very pink thank you card as part of my Guest Designer stint for Oyster Stamps.

I have started with a piece of white card stock which I have embossed using a lattice embossing folder and inked with the Tim Holtz Worn Lipstick Distress Ink pad.  This has then been mounted onto pink Centura Pearl card leaving a small border around the edge.

Next, I have stamped the Honey Doo Crafts Hearts And Flowers Double Corner stamp with Perfect Medium, onto white card and heat embossed using with Wow Bright White embossing powder.  I have then coloured this with the same Distress Ink pad and cut out using the Spellbinders Modern Stationary die set.

From the pink Centure Pearl, I have made a frame using the same Spellbinders die set and mounted this over the top using 3D foam tape.

The Thank You sentiment has been cut out of the pink Centura Pearl using the Spellbinders D-Lites Sentiments Two and I have also added a butterfly using the Memory Box Pippi Butterfly die.

I have added small flowers in opposite corners by stamping the Heartfelt Creations Christmas Poinsettia and heat embossing with the same white embossing powder.  These have been cut out with the matching die and a pink gemstone added to the centre of each flower.

To finish the card, I have added more pink gemstones.

Santa Baby

Good evening all

My card tonight is for a Guest Designer spot over at Digital Delights.  This digital stamp is called Santa Baby and I have coloured with ProMarkers.  The card has been made in my favourite Christmas colour combo, red and blue.

I have started by stamping the Honey Doo Crafts Christmas Wishes stamp onto white card stock using Perfect Medium.  Next, I have heat embossed using Wow Bright White embossing powder and inked the white card using the Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Distress Ink pad.

I have taken another piece of white card stock and embossed it using a lattice embossing folder and using the same ink pad, I have added a softer colour.

Both pieces have then been mounted onto red card stock to form the background of the card.

I have cut out the digital stamp and mounted her onto a circle of white card and added glitter to her hat and dress.

I have then made three different snowflakes.  For the largest, I have cut out two from the Heartfelt Creations Arianna Lace die set, added colour using the same ink pad and mounted them together.  I have added a red gemstone brad to the centre and hung a snowflake charm from this.

I have then used the stamen dies from the Arianna Blooms die set and again, added colour and layered them together with a red gemstone in the centre and for the final snowflake, I have used a die which came free with a cardmaking machine.  This one I have left white and added a red gemstone brad to the centre.

To finish this clean and simple card, I have stamped Christmas Wishes from the Honey Doo Crafts stamp set, into the top right hand corner of the card.

Autumn Beauty

Good evening all

Well we are now into the first week of the new structure at work and I'm not sure that it has been planned very well.  All of the new Section Leaders are not sure what to do due to a lack of training.

I am now without a department to look after until my new position has been confirmed.  I have discovered that not having a structured day is harder then having the stress of running a department.

Anyway, today I have completed an order for my colleague at work.  The card is for her daughter and seeing that it is getting colder then, I thought I would go with autumn colours.

I have started with a square piece of white card and inked around the edges using the Tim Holtz Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink pad.  This has been been layered onto burgundy card stock leaving a small border around the edge.

Next, I have printed off a square piece of patterned digital paper, mounted it onto the same card and placed into the centre of the card.  A matching piece of card has been layered across the centre of this background.

The digital stamp is from Sassy Studio Designs and I have coloured her using ProMarkers.  I have used the Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles to make a mount for the digital stamp.  She has then been cut out and layered onto the mount using Pinflair glue to give dimension.

The flowers have been made using the Heartfelt Creations Sun-Kissed Fleur.  I have stamped the flowers using Memento Tuxedo Black onto white card.  Next, I have coloured the flowers with the Tim Holtz Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed Distress Ink pads.

These have been cut out using the matching die, shaped and layered together.  In the centre of each flower, I have used some black Nail Pearls which I purchased from my local make up store.

I have finished the card with a black pearl swirl, orange ribbon and the sentiment "Birthday Wishes to a very special daughter"

White Christmas

Good evening all

This is another GDT card for Oyster Stamps.  The theme is Christmas and I decided to make it all in white with a small splash of red on the flowers.

For the background, I have used the Arianna Lace die set, these are the perfect shape to use as snowflakes.   I have cut several out of white card stock and glued around the edges of a square piece of white card.  This has then been mounted onto another piece of card using Pinflair glue to give dimension and a border of Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue has been added around the edge.

Next, I have embossed a panel of white card using a lattice pattern embossing folder, added pearls and wrapped white satin ribbon down the centre.

The focal point has been made by cutting the Spellbinders Holiday Greetings die from white card, adding a double sided adhesive sheet to the back and covering with Glamour Dust.  This has also been given dimension using Pinflair glue.

For the three flowers, I have stamped the Heartfelt Creations Christmas Poinsettia with Perfect Medium onto white card, embossed using Wow Opaque Bright White embossing powder and cut out using the matching die.  These have then been covered with Glamour Dust, shaped and glued together.  In the centre of each flower, I have glued frosted red berries from Live & Love Crafts
