Fall Bestie

Good afternoon everyone

I'm on a roll today.  This card has been made for my Second Cousin for her to give to her Nan.

I have used three different pattern digital papers from my crafty stash. The image is from Sherri Baldy, which I have then coloured using ProMarkers in the colours of fall.

I went to a wedding last year and managed to collect some leaves that were scattered on the tables which are a perfect colour for this project.  I have used one in the top right hand corner and two in the bottom corner.  On top of the leaves I have place some yellow flowers which I purchased from my local £1 store.

To finish off, I have added a brown bow to the top right hand corner, Cosmic Shimmer Pearl glue and a "Birthday Wishes Nan" sentiment.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Love to Create - Colour Inspired
Loves Rubber Stamps - Show us your Fall Colours
Tuesday Throwdown - Clean and Simple
Sassy Studio Designs - Fall Colours
My Besties UK - Orange, Yellow and Brown

Hope you like my card.

Fairy Mum

Good morning

I have just finished a card which my cousin has asked me to make for her Mother-in-law, who adores fairies and flowers.

I have printed a digital paper from my crafty stash in the colour theme of lilac and yellow.  I love this paper because is gives a really soft effect.  I have used my Spellbinders dies to cut two plain circles and two scalloped circles in white and purple card.

This image is a digital stamp from Sherri Baldy which I have coloured in using ProMarkers, in the same colour theme as the digital paper.  I have then added to her wings, some flat back pearls from Hobbycraft and used the Cosmic Shimmer Pearl glue to give a little bit of interest.

The Heartfelt Creations Sun-Kissed Fleur stamp has been embossed onto vellum using the Cosmic Shimmer Arctic Pearl Lustre embossing power.  I have then coloured the back of the vellum using the same colour ProMarkers as the image and then cut out the flowers using the matching Spellbinders die.  The flowers have been layered up and flat back pearls added to the centres.

This card is being entered into the following challenges:

My Besties - Use Lavender
Creative Knockouts - Your Favourite Things (Fairies, Flowers)
613 Avenue - Create Your Own Challenge (Image, Die Cut, Liquid Pearls, Pearls, Ribbon)
Happy Campers Craft - Show us your Flowers
Oldie but a Goodie - Dies and Punches

Well that's all for now, off to start another order for my Cousin.

Footie Birthday Card

Happy Friday everyone

Today's card is a boys theme.  This is something that I tend to struggle with, as you can see, there isn't many male cards on my blog.  I thought it was about time that I tried to expand my range.

I have used a digital stamp from Saturated Canary which I have coloured in using ProMarkers.  The digital papers are from my crafty stash.

Around the edge of the image, I have used a fine line pen to give the illusion of stitching.  For embellishments, I have used some football and star buttons which I had in my crafty stash at home.

To finish the card, I have added a Happy Birthday sentiment in the shape of a ticket.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Glitter n Sparkle - Male Cards
613 Avenue Create - Create your own colour
Scrapbook Stamp Society - Anything Goes
Feeling Sketchy - Follow a sketch
Passion for ProMarkers - One for the Boys
Totally Paper Crafts - Stitching on a card
Crafty Catz - Birthday Card

I hope you like it.

A butterfly has been cut from a die and embossed with the same embossing powers and again, flat back pearls added.

Boys Birthday Card

Hi Everyone

A very quick post tonight, I have had a lot of orders come in and am stressing a little about getting them all done, not that I'm complaining, it's fantastic that things are starting to pick up.

Totally Paper Crafts - Birthday Boys

The image was the base of a decoupage sheet that has been in my crafty stash for about 3 years.

The front of the card has been folded back and I have used two different blue and black digital patterned papers.

Fireman Sam Easel Card

Morning everyone,

A young friend of mind has asked me to make a Fireman Sam card for her Son's birthday.  He adores Fireman Sam and she looked everywhere for a card, but they were either too small or didn't have son on them.

This scared the life out of me, I'm not that good at cards for boys and Fireman Sam is so well know, I didn't want it to look cheap.

Here is want I have come up with.

I found a website called Coloring-Book, they have got colouring pages for all different kinds of well know characters.  I chose an image of the Fireman Sam fire engine and images of the four main characters.  These have all been coloured using ProMarkers.

I chose some bright digital paper from my stash at home and placed the fire engine in the centre of the card.  I then used 3D foam to place the characters in front of the fire engine.  It's hard to see in the picture, but with Fireman Sam, I used thicker 3D foam to make him stand out from the rest.

I have wrapped red stitched ribbon around two corners on the card and used red and blue buttons from my local shop as embellishments.  The buttons have been given a stitched on effect.

To finish the easel, I have used a Happy Birthday sentiment and added in his name, coloured in with ProMarkers, as a stopper.  The same style of buttons have been added to the stopper.

My young friend is over the moon with the finished result, which I am pleased about.

I am also going to enter this card into the Inky Chicks challenge this week, which has a theme of stitching.

That's all for now, I'm off to start my next project.

Penny Blossom Bookmark

Good Afternoon

Today I thought I would combine to challenge blogs together into one creation.  The first is for Crafty Catz, who required a Bookmark as an entry and the second is Totally Paper Crafts, who required the colours Red/Black with a touch of white.

So I have made a Bookmark in Red, Black and White.

This gorgeous digital stamp is from Penny Blossom and it has been coloured in using ProMarkers.  The digital papers are from my stash and have been printed onto glossy photo page to give a more intense colour.

The sentiment "Dare to be Different" came with the digital stamp, it has been backed onto black card and a black gem stone added to the corner.

I have made a bow out of Red taffeta ribbon from Ribbon Girl and wrapped black rose ribbon from my local shop around the centre.

To finish off, I have made two bead strings out of beads in my crafty stash and one shamballa style string with a single bead and added these to the end of my Bookmark along with some satin ribbon.

This is the first time I have made a Bookmark, I don't think it has turned out to bad, I hope you think so too.

My Besties Christmas Tree Decorations

Good Morning everyone

Where has the summer gone, I have been so cold this morning that I nearly put the heating on.  It's a bit of a shock to the system.

Anyway on to today's creations, I have made to sets of Christmas Tree hanging decorations, one set in Green/Red and the other in Blue/Red.

I was out shopping at my local supermarket last weekend and came across these clear christmas baubles.  They are actually for putting photos in, but I thought I would have a little play with them.

I have used 7 of the My Besties digital stamps, re sized them and coloured them in with ProMarkers.  These little images took longer to colour then any of the larger sizes because of how small they are, but I'm pleased with the way they have turned out.

I have then added some little pearls with Cosmic Shimmer Pearl glue and punched out some small snowflakes and glued them onto the image.

I wanted the effort of a snow globe, so I punched out lots and lots of little circles with a hole punch from pearlescent , my hand aches quiet a bit now.

Then to add a little sparkle to the snow, I sprinkled some white glitter strips and some extra fine coloured glitter.

I then added an extra couple of punched snowflakes.

To hang the baubles on the tree, some red nylon cord from my local shop has been tied on.

And just to finish them off, a big red organza bow from my local shop, has been added to the top.

I have had so much fun making these, that I am already planning another trip to the supermarket to pick up some more.  I might even cover my whole Christmas Tree in My Besties.

I am entering these into the following challenges:

Well that's it for now, I'm off to start the next project.
