First Christmas

Good evening everything

This is a very late post tonight, I have found the last couple of days being back a work hard.  My Physio warned me that I would feel like I had gone backwards and he was certainly right.

Anyway, today I thought I better get started on my Christmas orders, so here is the first.

The image is a digital stamp from Sherri Baldy and it has been coloured using ProMarkers.  To create the background, I have firstly taken a piece of blue Centura Pearl card and stamped and embossed it using a stamp from the Penny Black Trims set and Cosmic Shimmer Arctic Pearl Lustre.  I have then taken a piece of white Centura Pearl card and stamped and embossed this using another stamp from the Trims set and Comic Shimmer Arctic Lake Lustre.

I have taken a piece of red card and used the Spellbinders Captivating Squares die to create the centre of the card, this has been layered up using foam pads.  The image has been cut out and layered with foam pads as well to give more dimension.

I have created the snowflakes using the Marianne Creatables Snowflake die set.  These have been cut from the same Centura Pearl card and layered onto each other.  The smaller snowflake has been glittered and a flat back pearl added to the centre.

I have also cut a Christmas Tree from white Centura Pearl card using a free die from a magazine I purchased.  To this I have added a flat back pearl on the top and used Cosmic Shimmer Summer Blue PVA Glue.

To finish the card I have added a red organza bow and a "Christmas Wishes Mum" sentiment.

This is my first attempt at background stamping, hopefully I will improve with patience.

This card is being entered into the following challenges:

Everton

Good evening everyone

Today I have made a card for a friend of mine, it's her fiance's Birthday and he is made on Everton Football Club.  She wanted something different to the cards that you can purchase from a shop.

The image is a digital stamp called Joey from Saturated Canary and I have coloured him in using ProMarkers in the colours of Everton Football Club.  The football digital paper is from my crafty stash and I have made up my own paper with Everton on using my graphic program.

I managed to find an image of the Everton Football Club Badge, which has been printed off twice and to add a little bit of shine and texture, I have used Glossy Accents to them.  In the right hand corner, I have added to blue buttons with yellow thread.

To finish the card, I have added a "To a Wonderful Fiance" sentiment and taken a football from the digital paper covered in Glossy Accents.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Prefect Shoes

Good afternoon all

Well this week has been a little strange, I started back at work yesterday after being off sick for 7 months.  Because I have got to phase myself in, I only worked 2 hours, shortest shift I have every done, and now I'm off until Sunday.  Hopefully I will get back into the swing of things quickly.

Today I have just finished a customer order for a 50th Birthday.  She was after something girly, so I thought there is nothing better then a pair of high heeled shoes.

The image is a digital stamp called Big Bow from Bugaboo Digi Stamps and I have coloured them using ProMarkers and added some pearls with the Cosmic Shimmer white PVA glue.  The digital papers are from my crafty stash.

For the flowers, I have stamped the Heartfelt Creations Sun-Kissed Fleur with Memento London Fog onto a piece of matching backing paper and cut out using the matching Spellbinders Die.  I then cut out 5 of the Spellbinders D-Lites Blooms One, again from matching backing papers.  I have layered up the flowers and added glitter to the Blooms One and a pink gem stone in the centre of the flowers.  I have also cut out to sprigs using the Spellbinders D-Lites Sprigs.

To finish the card, I have added a pink bow, three pink gem stones to the left hand corner and a "50" sentiment.  I hope you like it.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Autumn Gaming

Hi all

This is the last post of the day.  This card was, again, made at the request of a friend of mine.  Her Mum was after a card about gaming for her Nephew.  Because of the time of the year, I thought I would also use the colours of Autumn and I have kept it very simple as it is for a man.

I have used a digital image from Kenny K Downloads called Boy Gamer.  It has been coloured using ProMarkers.  The three patterned digital papers are from my crafty stash.

I have added a blue ribbon tied in a knot down the right hand side of the card.  To finish the card, I have used a "Birthday Wishes to a Special Nephew" sentiment and added a bronze brad.

This card is being entered into the following challenges:

There She Goes Clear Stamps - Pumpkin, Chocolate, Aqua
Feeling Sketchy - Layout
Ruby's Rainbow - Autumnal Colours
House of Gilli - Anything Goes

Pink Fairy

Hi everyone

This is the second post of the day.  My sixteen year old son has asked me to make this card for his Drama Teachers Birthday,  she is a big fan of fairies, so that is what I have based this card on.

The image is a digital stamp which I found on one of my cds, I'm not sure where I got it from.  It has been coloured using ProMarkers and I have added glitter to her wings.  The digital papers are from my crafty stash.  I have added stitching around the image using a fine liner pen.  I have added pearls using the Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue.

The flowers have been made using the Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur stamp and Spellbinders Die set.  They have been embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Arctic Pearl Lustre embossing powder, onto patterned paper and shaped with a flat back pearl in the centre.  I have also used one of the new Spellbinders D-Lites dies called Sprigs.

To finish the card, I have added a Birthday sentiment in the top left hand corner.

This card is being entered into the following challenges:

Oldie but a Goodie - Bingo (Ribbon, Pearls, Glitter)
Scrapbook Stamp Society - Anything Goes with Stitching
Ladybug Crafts - Pierce, Sew or Inky Stitch
Divas by Design - 3 or more layers

Drink Beer

Happy Sunday everyone

This card has been made for a customer order, they wanted a card for their cousin's 50th.  His main hobbies are drinking beer and gadgets, so I choose to follow a beer theme.

I started by printing two different patterned paper from my crafty stash, I thought a darker colour suited this type of card better.  I used the polka dot paper as a base layer and the striped paper down the left hand side and added so striped ribbon.

For the main image, I type up on the computer the saying "Keep Calm and Drink Beer", coloured the background to match and printed out.

The embellishments have been made using a digital image of a beer mug which I found on one of my cds.  They have been coloured in with ProMarkers and Glossy Accents.  To add a little extra, I found some Liquid Applique in my stash and used this to create a frothy top to the beer.

To finish off, I added a 50th sentiment.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Loves Rubberstamps - Polka Dots
Allsorts - Use your ABC
Creative Fingers - Anything Goes with twist Shades of One Colour
Crafts 4 Eternity - Clean and Simple
My Sheri Crafts - Nighttime

Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Special Friend Flowers

Hi everyone

This is my second post of the day.  This card is being entered into the following challenges:

Digitally 'Sweet' - Favorite Colors
Pile it on - Favorite Colors
Jellypark - Anything Goes
Sister Act Card - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Two by Two
Creative Craft - Anything Goes

I choose one patterned digital paper from my crafty stash for the background of the card and used paper card for the rest.  On the white card, I used a clear stamp of tiny flowers which I found in my crafty stash and stamped and embossed this several times with Cosmic Shimmer Arctic Pearl Lustre embossing powder.

Using the Spellbinders Damask Accents Die to cut a border and placed this along one edge of the white card.

The flowers have been made out of the same patterned paper as the background and white card.  I have used the new Spellbinders D-Lites Blooms One and Four and these have been layered up along the opposite edge of the white card, a Cosmic Shimmer PVA pearl has been placed in the centre of each flower.  I have also used another of the new Spellbinders Dies called Sprigs to create a flourish on either side of the flowers.

I then added the sentiment "Birthday Wishes to a Special Friend" on white card, is has been glued to give it a bit of dimension.

To finish off, I have used the Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue to create some pearl swirls below the flowers.

This is a different style to my normal cards, so I do hope you like it as much as I do.

Princess Baubles

Good evening again

This is the second post of the evening, I have got a bit behind this week due to not feeling to good.

It's been a bit of a bad week all round really, Wednesday my son downloaded an update onto his Playstation from Sony, whatever the update was, the Playstation stopped working after, but of course, Sony would not take responsibility for it.

Thank god I have clever people in my family, my cousin spoke to her daughter's husband, who happens to be obsessed with Playstations, he was able to fix it by installing a new hard drive.

Because he wouldn't accept any money, as a thank you, I made two little gifts for his young daughters.  They have been made using some Christmas Photo Baubles from my local Supermarket.  I made some very similar a few weeks ago and had a fantastic respond from everyone.

I have used two different digital stamps from Sherri Baldy and coloured them using ProMarkers.  The images had to be reduced in size quite a bit, so colouring took twice as long.  I have added some Cosmic Shimmer PVA Glue to make little pearls.

On the other side of the Bauble, I have added Princess and then their names, in the same colour as the fairies. and again, used Cosmic Shimmer PVA Glue.

Using a hole punch, I have punched out lots of little circles in two different colours and split these between the two sides of the Bauble.  To finish off, I have added a big lilac bow made of ribbon from Ribbon Girl and glued this to the top of the Bauble and then used narrow ribbon to form the lop to hang the Baubles up.

The girls adored their gifts and I hope you do to.

I am entered these into the following challenges:

Scrapbook Stamp Society - Anything Goes
Crafty Ribbons - Anything Goes with Ribbon
Sassy Studio Designs - Think outside the Box
4 Krafty Girlz - Anything Goes
Craftitude - Anything Goes

Have a good night.

Candy Flowers

Good evening

I hope everyone has had a good weekend so far.  This card is another order from my Cousin, she is keeping me busy.  Her Mum turned 75 this week, so she wanted a bright, cheerful card with her favourite things on, flowers.

I have used some flower digital stamps from Meljen's Designs, printed them out in different sizes and coloured using ProMarkers.  To add a little bit extra, I have used Crafter's Companion Silver Spray and Sparkle and then shaped and layered them and added flat back pearls to the centres.

I have used two different digital papers from my craft stash and placed a red ribbon across the centre of the card.  I have then die cut a circle using my Spellbinders dies and placed the flowers over the top.

To finish I have die cut a "75 Today" sentiment and added Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Love to Create - Candy Inspired
Crafty Sentiments Designs - Favourite Colour
Loves Rubber Stamps - Anything Goes
Penny's Paper-Crafty - Anything Goes
Crafty Catz - Anything Goes

That's it for now.
