Dad Will Fix It

Good evening all

It's been another gorgeous day here in Kent again.  Perfect for drying my washing, I'm not sure how we do it, but there is only 2 of us in this house and we wear uniforms for most of the week, yet I still managed to have 3 loads of washing today with some left over.

On to today's card which I have kept Clean and Simple.  The digital stamp is called Carpenter Joe from Tiddly Inks and I have coloured him using ProMarkers.

I have started with two square pieces of card stock, one in brown and one in white, the white is slightly smaller then the brown.  Next, I have used the Spellbinders Classic Triple Scallop die set and added a decorative edge is two sides of both pieces of card and layered onto each other.

On the white card, I have printed the sentiment "My Dad Can Fix Anything" and inked around the edges using the Adirondack Earthtones Espresso ink pad.

The digital stamp has been cut out and layered onto the background with Pinflair glue to add dimension.

I have wrapped some blue twine around the background before attaching to the card base and tried on a Hammer Charm.

To finish, I have added three blue flat back pearls to the top right hand corner of the background.

Boys And Their Toys

Good evening all

It's all change at work, most of the Managers have had their consultations and know whether they have a job.  I do feel sorry for them, they have to continue working until October or they lose their redundancy.

For today's card, I have moved away from my usual style and gone with a digital stamp from Dustin Pike which I have coloured in using ProMarkers.

I have started with a square piece of patterned digital paper, inked around the edges using Adirondack Earthtones Espresso ink pad and layered onto tan Centura Pearl.

Next I have taken two pieces of matching patterned digital paper, again inking around the edges and layering onto the same Centura Pearl.

The digital stamp has also been inked and layered onto Centura Pearl.  Each of these pieces has been placed at an angle on the background.

Using my Cameo Silhouette and a cutting file which came with the program, I have cut out from the tan Centura Pearl, two banners and placed them at the side of the digital stamp.

To finish, I have cut out Dad using the Tattered Lace Family Sentiments die set and added three small green buttons in opposite corners of the background.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Perfect Ballerina

Good morning all

Wow I'm so excited, today my card for the Guest Designer spot over at My Besties Norge, goes live.  These are my favourite digi stamps, so it is a privilege to be asked.  The theme this week is Use A Charm And / Or Use A Punch, I have used both and I have chosen IMG310.

I have taken a square piece of patterned digital paper, inked it around the edges using the Adirondack Earthtones Espresso ink pad and layered it onto brown card stock leaving a small border around the edge.

Next, I have taken a panel of green polka dot digital paper and again, layered it onto brown card.  Around this panel I have wrapped white lace and pink ribbon.  The panel has then been placed across the centre of the background.

On opposite corners of the image, I have used a corner punch from your crafty stash to add interest.  The edges of the image have then been inked in the same way as the background and then layered onto brown card to match.

The flowers have been made by stamping the Heartfelt Creations Sun-Kissed Fleur with Perfect Medium onto pink and green polka dot digital paper.  This has been heat embossed using Heat It Up Silver Pearl embossing powder, cut out using the matching die and layered together to form three different size flowers.  In the centre of these flowers, I have added a Pinflair glue covered with pink glitter to add a littler sparkle.

I have placed a double butterfly on the right of the card by cutting out one from pink paper and one from green using the Memory Box Pippi Butterfly die.  These have been layered together and I have added the same pink glitter down the centre.

I have also added a ballet shoe charm onto so chain and attached it to the largest flower.

On the base of the easel, I have layered some pink polka dot digital paper onto brown card stock.  The edges have been inked in the same way as the main background.  The easel stopper has been made from a Birthday verse layered onto the same brown card and added using Pinflair glue to give the dimension.

To finish, I have placed two small white buttons on opposite sides of the main background and two heart beads to the Birthday verse.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my card today.

Summer Garden

Good evening all

I am beginning to dread Saturdays at work, too much to do and not enough colleagues.  The sooner I can get recruited the better, just don't seem to get the time to organise my vacancies.

Never mind, I started this card at six this morning before I went to work.  The digital image is from Sherri Baldy and I have coloured her using ProMarkers.  The image is Summer Garden.

I has taken a square piece of white card stock and embossed it using the Die'sire Embossalicious Rose Vine embossing folder from Crafters Companion.  Next, I have added colour around the edges using the Memento Dew Drop Rhubarb Stalk ink pad and then layered onto green Centura Pearl card stock.

I have then taken a piece of flower pattern paper which I purchased from a local store and cut out two circles using a Spellbinder die.  Both of these have been layered onto the green Centura Pearl and placed into opposite corners of the background.

Using my Cameo Silhouette and a free cutting file from Birds Cards, I have cut out a doily circle from red patterned paper purchased from the same local store.  I have then layered onto this a smaller white circle.  The digital stamp has been cut out and placed onto the circle using Pinflair glue to add dimension.

The flowers have been made by cutting out from the red patterned paper, the large petal of the Lacy Marguerite die set from Tattered Lace and then cutting out from green Centura Pearl, a smaller petal from the same die set and layering them together.  For the centre, I have made a small rose from the red patterned paper using the Crafty Sentiments Design Medium Rolled Flowers and added a pink pearl.

I have wrapped some pink twine around the background and tried on a heart charm that sits just the flower.  I have also added pink heart beads to the ends of the twine.

To finish, I have placed three pink pearls in opposite corners and using the Tattered Lace Family Sentiments die set, I have added Mother cut from the red patterned paper.

Orange Unicorn

Good evening all

What a gorgeous day, I decided to go out shopping this afternoon with my Mum to pick up a few crafty bits. When I turned up at my Mums, I couldn't believe that she had a jumper on and was taking her coat with her, not quiet sure how hot it has got to be before she loses all the layers.

Today I am posting a card that I managed to finish this morning before going out.  The digital stamp is called Magda and Sparkles from Tiddly Inks and I have coloured it using ProMarkers.  I am really pleased with this as it is the first time I have managed the effect of pleats.

I have taken a square piece of white card stock and embossed it using the Die'sire Embossalicious Clouds embossing folder from Crafters Companion.  Next, I have added colour around the edges using the Tim Holtz Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade ink pad and then layered this onto brown card stock .

I have then taken a panel of the brown card and wrapped orange satin ribbon around it and added it to the background.

The digital stamp has had Frantage Shabby White Embossing Enamel added around the image and it has then been layered onto brown card and placed into the centre of the background.

Using the Spellbinders D-Lites Twigs Unite die, I have cut out three from the same brown card and placed them at either side of the image.

For the base of the easel card, I have embossed a square piece of white card using the Die'sire Embossalicious Regency Swirls embossing folder from Crafters Companion and added colour around the edges using the Adirondack Earthtones Espresso ink pad.  This has then been layered onto brown card.

For the easel stopper, I have printed out a Birthday verse and placed it onto the easel base using Pinflair glue.

To finish, I have added a 18 sentiment printed from my computer and a Happy Birthday sentiment cut from brown card using the Whimsy Stamps Birthday Sentimentables die set.

Summers Day

Good morning all

Quick post this morning before I start on the housework.  I finished this card late last night but didn't get the time to at it to the blog.

The digital stamp is by Digi Darla and it has been colour in using ProMarkers.  The colour theme is blues and greens.

I have started with a square piece of white card stock and embossed it using the Die'sire Embossalicious Beautiful Bunting embossing folder from Crafters Companion.  To this, I have added colour around the edges using the Memento Dew Drop Bahama Blue ink pad.  Next, I have printed off a panel of patterned digital paper.

To finish the background, I have taken a smaller square of white card and embossed it using the Die'sire Embossalicious Clouds embossing folder, again, from Crafters Companion.  Using the same ink pad, I have added a much light colour.

The digital stamp has been layered onto blue card stock and placed into the centre of the background.  I have then run a scrap piece of white card through the clouds embossing folder and added soft colour using the same ink pad.  Then I have cut out three of the embossed clouds and layered them onto the top right hand corner of the image.

Using the Tattered Lace Family Sentiments die set, I have cut out Son from blue card stock and placed it onto the smaller cloud and using the Whimsy Stamps Birthday Sentimentables die set, I have added Happy Birthday to the bottom corner, again, from blue card.

To finish, I have added two blue buttons in opposite corners.

Dancing Partners

Good evening all

Well I have done my good deed for the week, I helped my friend from work move into her new flat.  I have never in my life seen so much stuff.  I have decided that I never want to move out of my house, it's too stressful.

Right, onto today's card.  It has been made with a digital stamp is called Harley and Haley from Saturated Canary and I have coloured it using ProMarkers.  The colour theme is very soft in pinks and yellows.

I have started with a square piece of white card stock and embossed it using the Die'sire Embossalicious Rose Vine embossing folder from Crafters Companion.  Soft colour has then been added to the edges using the Memento Dew Drop Angel Pink ink pad.  This background is layered onto pink Centura Pearl card stock leaving a small border around the edge.

I have then taken a panel of yellow Centura Pearl and embossed this using the Die'sire Embossalicious Grande Dots embossing folder from Crafters Companion.  This has been layered down the left hand side of the background.  Next, I have taken a panel of the pink Centura Pearl and embossed this using the Rose Vine embossing folder and layered across the background added white lace to the middle.

Using a stencil from Imagination Crafts and the Memento ink pad, I have added a soft pattern to the top of a square piece of white card.  Next, I have added random pearls using the Cosmic Shimmer white PVA glue.  This has been layered onto pink Centura Pearl and added to the background using Pinflair glue.

The digital stamp has been cut out and layered onto this again, using Pinflair glue to give a littler dimension.

In the corner of the card, I have added a corner flourish using the Spellbinders D-Lites Corner Sprigs die which has been cut from pink Centura Pearl.  I have then added three roses, two in pink and one in yellow.  These have been made using the Crafty Sentiments Design Medium Rolled Flowers die.

To finish, I have cut from pink Centura Pearl "Grand Daughter" using the Tattered Lace Family Sentiments die set.
