Pretty In Red

Good afternoon all

What a gorgeous day today, it always makes me fill more active when the sun is shining.  For today's card I have gone with my favourite colour combo, red and pink.

I have started with a square piece of patterned digital paper and layered it onto red card stock.  Next, I have taken a smaller square piece of white card stock and embossed it using the Die'sire Grande Dots embossing folder.  Pale pink micro powder has been brushed over this embossed card to leave very subtle colour and shimmer.  Again, this has been layered onto red card stock.

Using the Spellbinders Captivating Square die set, I have cut two of the 2nd largest from red card stock.  These have then been cut in half and added to the four sides of the embossed background.

The digital stamp is from Sherri Baldy.  I have coloured her using ProMarkers and cut her out.

The flowers have been made using the Heartfelt Creations Sun-Kissed Fleur stamp and die set.  I have stamped pink card stock using Perfect Medium and heat embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Iced Blush Lustre embossing powder.  Next they have been cut out using the matching die, shaped and layered together.

The centre of the two biggest flowers have been made by cutting two of the Heartfelt Creations Sweet Juliet die from red card stock, shaping them and securing them with a pale pink pearl brad.

I have also added two hat pins, some glittery red berries and a little sparkle using Twinklets Diamond Dust.

To finish, I have added three heart buttons in the top left hand corner.

Butterflies

Good evening all

I hope everyone has had a good weekend and got lots of crafting done, unfortunately I have been at work for most of it so only managed to get one quick card made.

I have gone for a clean and simple look with butterflies and the main colours of lilac and blue.

I have started with a square piece of white card stock and embossed it using the Die'sire Flower Power embossing folder.  Next I have added a soft colouring around the edges using the Memento Bahama Blue ink pad.  This background has then been layered onto lilac Centura Pearl card.

Using my Cameo Silhouette, I have then cut from white card stock, a free butterfly card front from Birds Cards and layered this onto the same lilac Centura Pearl.  Tiny lilac gem stones have been added to the butterflies.

The digital stamp is from Sherri Baldy.  I have coloured her using ProMarkers, cut her out and placed her at the bottom of the card.  Next I have cut a "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Centura Pearl using the Whimsy Stamps Birthday Sentimentables die.

To finish, I have cut from Centura Pearl, Sister using the Tattered Lace Family Sentiments die set.

Sunshine Gold

Good evening all

Today I have decided to move away from the cards and make a piece of walk art instead.  I have gone with a spring theme, lots of flowers in yellow and gold with a hint of blue.

I have started by covering a square canvas with a piece of patterned digital paper.  Next I have sealed this into place with bee's wax which I have melted using my melt pot.  I have then added a smaller pieces of patterned digital paper and again covered with bee's wax.

Using the Spellbinders Reflective Moment die set, I have cut the largest from white card stock and sprayed it with Crafter's Companion Gold Glitter spray.

The digital stamp is from Sherri Baldy.  I have coloured her using ProMarkers, cut her out and layered her onto the die cut shape.

The flowers have been made by stamping the Heartfelt Creations Sun-Kissed Fleur stamp with Perfect Medium onto patterned digital paper and heat embossing it with Heat It Up Gold Tinsel embossing powder.  I have stamped this three times to give me enough to make the flowers.

I have then wet the flowers with a little water to soften and shaped and layered them, adding a brown flat back pearl to their centres.  I have also added some brown Frosted Berries from Live & Love Crafts.

Birthday Cake

Good evening all

Just a quick post tonight, got lots to get ready for tomorrow.  This birthday card has been made in a wide range of colours, with the main ones being blue, lilac and yellow.

I have started with a square piece of white card stock and embossed it using the Die'sire Grande Dots embossing folder.  Next I have added colour with the Momento Bahama Blue ink pad and layered it onto purple card stock.

I have then taken a smaller square piece and a panel of matching patterned digital paper and layered these onto the same purple card as the background.

Across the centre of the background, I have added some purple polka dot ribbon.

Using the Spellbinders Delightful Circles die set, I have cut the largest from purple card stock.  The centre of the circle has been cut from white card and inked with the same Memento ink pad.

The digital image is from Sassy Studio Designs.  I have coloured her using ProMarkers, cut her out and layered her onto the die cut circle using Pinflair glue to add dimension.

Using a Tattered Lace cupcake die, I have cut one from the purple card stock and placed it onto some white card with loose glitter added for interest.  I have also add a pearl flourish.

Under The Sea

Good evening all

I have had a lovely relaxing day today, bit of housework, couple of loads of washing and of course, a bit of crafting.

Today I have made a card with a Mermaid theme in the colours of green and orange.

I have started with a square piece of white card stock and embossed it using the Die'sire Regency Swirls embossing folder.  Next I have added colour using the Memento Tangelo ink pad.  This has been layered onto green Centura Pearl card.

Using my Cameo Silhouette, I have cut out of green Centura Pearl, a free background cutting file from Birds Cards and placed this onto the background.

The panel on the left hand side has been made in the same way as the background.  On the right hand side, I have taken a panel of orange card stock and randomly stamp a floral pattern using Perfect Medium.  This has been heat embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Golden Fish Lustre embossing powder.

The digital stamp is from Sherri Baldy.  I have coloured her using ProMarkers, cut her out and layered her onto the background using Pinflair glue to give dimension.

I have wrapped green ribbon around the background and added a bow made from the same ribbon with a white/silver shell embellishment in the centre.

Using the Tattered Lace Family Sentiments die set, I have cut out Daughter from green Centura Pearl and placed this onto the orange panel.

To finish, I have added a white/silver starfish and seahouse for extra interest.

Mr & Mrs

Good evening all

Just a quick wedding card tonight.  I have moved away from the digi stamp and made this from embossing and die cuts.  Colours used are brown, red and a silver gray.

I have started by cutting a stepper card from white card stock using my Cameo Silhouette.  Next, I have embossed the card blank using a Spellbinders hearts embossing folder.  Colour has been added using the Adirondack Earthtones Espresso Ink Pad and white lace has bee placed along the bottom of the card blank.

Using the Spellbinders Decorative Labels Twenty-Eight die set, I have cut one size from Silver Gray Centura Pearl and a smaller size from brown Centura Pearl.  A panel embossed with the same embossing folder as the card base has been added to the centre of the brown shape.

I have also cut a fancy heart circle from red card stock using a Marianne Design Creatables die.

With my Cameo Silhouette, I have cut out the working "Mr & Mrs" from red card stock and layered this on the smaller die cut.

The flower has been made using a Tattered Lace die.  Two large petals have been cut from red card and a smaller petal from brown Centura pear.  These have then been shaped, layered and a flat back pearl added to the centre.

A pearl flourish from Flourish with a Bling has been added to the larger silver gray die cut and to finish the card off, I have taken the waste hearts from the Marianne Design die and placed them down either side of the stepper card.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

The Hangover

Good evening all

What a day at work, I'm not sure how many pairs of hands my boss thinks I have, but it certainly isn't enough for the amount he was expecting me to do today.  It's so nice to come home and relax by making a card.

This one is a funny male card with the main colours of blue and yellow with just a touch of pink.

I have started with a square piece of patterned digital paper and layered it onto blue card stock.  Next I have cut out four circles using a Spellbinders die from three matching digital papers.

I have also cut out a larger circle again using a Spellbinders die from white card stock.  This has then been embossed using an embossing folder and inked with the Memento Paris Dusk ink pad.

These have all been layered onto blue card stock.

The digital stamp is called Dog Walk from Kenny K Downloads.  I have colour it in using ProMarkers and layered it onto blue card stock.

I have then printed from the computer, the sentiment "The Birthday Hangover", mounted it onto blue card stock and placed it onto the embossed circle.

To finish the card I have added blue flat back pearls to each corner.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Passion For ProMarkers - Give Us A Laugh
Tuesday Throwdown - A Portion Of A Digi
Little Red Wagon - Make It Masculine
Charisma Cardz Challenges - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - All Boy

That's all for now.
