Summer With My Best Friend

Afternoon peeps

After 10 nights off, it's back to work tonight, I am dreading it.  My mood started to drop yesterday just at the thought of it.  I jokingly said to my Mum last night, that I should have married a rich man so I didn't have to work, she pointed out that I haven't married anyone.  That's because I am sensible.

Anyway, to relax I have done a little crafting.  The digital stamp is called Ice Cream Hello from Sami Stamps and it has been coloured using Copics and ProMarkers.

Other materials used are:

Sympathy

Evening peeps

Tonight, I thought I would try something I haven't done before.  I'm not very good when it comes to watercolouring, so I decided to try Distress ink and water.  I'm not sure if it worked, but I think it has given a watercolour effect.

I couldn't decide what type of sentiment to put on this card at first, but once I had put it together, I seemed to lean towards Sympathy.

The materials I have used are:

White card stock
Spellbinders Circle nesting die set
Spellbinders Scallop Circle nesting die set
Tattered Lace With Sympathy die
Your Next Stamp Stitched Border die
Inkylicious Poppy stamp
Tim Holtz Worn Lipstick Distress ink pad

A Neutral Christmas

Evening peeps

One of my cats hasn't been very well the last few weeks, so this week he has been put onto medication and the vet has told me to only feel him over cooked chicken.  The cheapest way of doing this is to buy a whole chicken and cut it up.  The problem is, that as I'm cutting it up, my son is helping himself to it, so by the time it hits the cat's bowl, half of it has gone.  Chicken is his favourite food.

Anyway, tonight I have made another Christmas card but this time I have gone with an unusual colour choice.  The digital stamp is called Snowflake Angel from Ching-Chou Kuik and it has been coloured using Copics and ProMarkers.

Other materials used are:

White card stock
Digital patterned paper
Doily
Marianne Design Swedish Ice Star die set
Cream lace
Gemstones
Brown pearls
Crystal Glamour Dust glitter

Summer Fun

Morning peeps

I am very much a vintage fashion lover and have a wardrobe full of vintage inspired clothes including dresses that my Mum has made me.  Well one of the sites that I shop on has a sale on at the moment, so I thought I would have a browse through, omg the delight I felt when I come across a beautiful dress priced up at just £9, what a bargain, they only had one left and it was my size.  I shouldn't be spending anymore money this month, but how could I pass up on a bargain like that.

Anyway, today I have gone with a summer theme for this card.  The digital stamp is called Summer Ice Cream from Digi Stamps 4 Joy and it has been coloured using Copics and ProMarkers.

We have had some fantastic weather today, it's been so hot that it's been hard to find the energy to do anything.  My son has been driving me up the wall over it, he doesn't deal with the heat very well, so has been non-stop moaning.  Me on the other hand, loves the hot weather, if I could more to another country with weather like this, I would do it tomorrow.

Christmas Gift

Morning peeps

I had a very long evening last night, we took my cat up to a walk in vets because I thought it would be better without having to book an appointment, how wrong was I.  It took us half an hour to drive there and then waited over 2 hours to see someone.

I was just about to take him home when we got called in.  It looks like he has an upset tummy, so he is now on medication.  Poor thing, he had messed in his box by the time we got up there, so was not in the best of moods, I felt so guity because I couldn't get him out to clean him up until we were called in.

Anyway, I didn't get any time to finish this card off until this morning.  The digital stamp is called Gift from The East Wind and it has been coloured using Copics and ProMarkers.  I have also paper pieced her dress with digital patterened paper.

Other materials used are:

White card stock

Yellow Mermaid

Evening peeps

Today has been a very sad day for me, I have had to come to the decision that putting my cat to sleep is the best thing for him and me.  I have had him for 12 years, ever since he was a kitten, but over the past few months, he has been starting to look old and has not been hisself.  The decision had to be made after I got up this morning to mess everywhere down stairs, this is not the first time.  I'm off to the vets with him tomorrow to see what they say is wrong.

Anyway, as always, a bit of crafting to take my mind off of things.  The digital stamp on this card is called Mermaid Miranda from Tiddly Inks and it has been coloured using Copics and ProMarkers.  I have also used a free fish digital stamp from Opal Manor.

Other materials used are:

The Show Dance

Evening peeps

Bang goes my peaceful week off from work.  My son rang yesterday to tell me that he was coming home and he had picked up some shifts in the supermarket I work in.  This means it will be picking up after him, arguing over what to watch on the television and worst of all, hearing about work when all I want to do is get away from the place for the week.

Don't get me wrong, it's nice to have him home, it just would have been better on a week that I was working.

Anyway, this card is the second of an order from a regular customer of mine.  The digital stamp is called Material World from Scrapper's Delight and it has been coloured using Copics and ProMarkers.

Other materials used are:

White card stock
